Automatic eating detection

Automatic eating detection

Snackwatch tracks your gestures and uses an artificial intellegence / machine learning algorithm to determine when you're eating. Every single bite detected is stored in your phone on the Snackwatch mobile app so that you can stay accountable to the one person who matters: you.

Stop passive snacking

Stop passive snacking

Snackwatch tracks how much you eat so you don't have to. Every bite detected gets logged in your phone. Turn on vibration alerts to build snacking awareness. Whatever your fitness goals are, Snackwatch will make sure you stick to them.

Master your meals

Snackwatch tracks how much you eat so you don't have to. Every bite detected gets logged in your phone. No more diet journals, no more forgetting to log your macros. Whatever your fitness goals are, Snackwatch will make sure you stick to them.

Track Your Calories

Every meal and snack is stored in your phone, so it has never been simpler to record your meals, calories, and macronutrients.

Track how much you drink

Drinking more water can improve your skin, reduce hunger, and prevent kidney problems, but many people don't get enough. Snackwatch can automatically track your fluid intake and remind you when you were too busy to be drinking.

8310 steps.

1240 calories burned.

Working out? It's a fitness tracker too.

Snackwatch uses an accelerometer and gyroscope to detect hand motions throughout the day. Acceleration and gyroscopic data is fed into an artificial intelligence running on Snackwatch which classifies any gesture as eating, drinking, or neither. Snackwatch then sends this data to your phone, where it is stored for you to read.

Snackwatch is currently in closed alpha, meaning a few lucky individuals are permitted to test it out under close supervision. If you would like to participate, email us. In the near future, Snackwatch will launch a crowdfunding campaign. To hear about that and any other news from the lab, sign up for our email list.

How much will it cost?

No, but you will be able to manually enter meal contents. We are also working on a system to estimate meal content based on your diet history.

Will it misidentify other gestures, like brushing my teeth as eating?

Usually no, but if it does you will be able to snooze Snackwatch detection or manually remove bites from the records database through the app.

Can one bracelet detect both hands?

No
